This is really significant, I think. People always seem to be travelling to places where no one has ever been. Doing this seems inherantly fucked up, to me. If we really value places where no one has been, why the hell would we want to spend a weekend there? It really reflects human nature. We actually value places where no one else has ever been. What a screwed up species we are. One can clearly see why people would refuse to believe in evolution. Admitting that we are just tiny cogs in the machine of our species would be admitting that we have a kind of tacit relationship with the world and other people.
