			The phrase "Dear God, my head is on fire" cracks me up.  It makes some sort of sense in this context where the "Dear God" part reads as a kind of expletive or curse, but if one were to think of it more as a salutation (like "Dear Mom" or "Dear Abby") then it begins to be a bit funnier.  For instance:
  Dear Jim, Lizards are chewing on my feet as I write this letter.  The pain is excruciating. Love, Maggie.
