One of the (many) things that Graft overlooks is that a great number of people actually regard their car horns as a means of expressing anger and frustration. The problem is not that these people are accidently screaming obscenities at the top of their lungs, they are doing that on purpose. Driving is an inherently frustrating activity. We've all been there, to one degree or another. I certainly get steamed quite often driving around in New York City. It's a lot easier to stay cool when you remember that you're in other people's way as much as they are in yours.
