Hmm... logical notation (or a simplistic bastardization thereof). This is basically another statement on that recurring Pinkey Suthers theme: perspective. Centuries past, when people could not observe parallax in the movement of the stars across the sky, they naturally assumed that the stars were all the same distance away from the earth. It wasn't until Copernicus suggested (and got seriously beaten up for doing so) that the stars were so far away that parallax was unmeasurable that our current system of belief about space was born. If one simply has enough distance in their perspective of a thing (astronomical distances, say) then the internal relationships of the subject will be reduced to no consequence.
