09/15/99 Maybe this episode is touching on some Nature vs. Nurture issues. As usual with arguments over which people get so passionate, this issue was best summed up by a really smart guy who is now long dead. Mr. Voltaire said it: "'Excellently observed,' answered Candide; 'but let us cultivate our garden.'" Of course there is also Mr. Voltaire's less quoted line: "Let me out of this prison, you assholes!"
